Jun 17, 2010 - [Posted on 06/18 as I had no reliable Internet access on 06/17.] I am sitting at Saratoga Springs campground, in Saratoga, CA. There is a mountain stream gurgling behind my RV. It's only about 57 degrees outside - quite a difference from earlier in the day, when I was driving across the southern California desert! Mostly I drove through LA today, and up the coast to San Jose. Usually I enjoy driving, but, driving through LA - not so much.
I got here late this evening. It was a long day - 13 hours of driving, with just a few short breaks. But I'm only about 30 minutes from the San Jose airport, where I am picking up Birdie in the morning. Then we're going to spend a couple days in San Francisco. I'm excited!! We've been trying to plan a vacation together for years. I can't believe it's really going to happen.
