100607 Antelope Slot Canyon - Upper Canyon Tour

7 Jun 2010, Mon - My last day in Page, AZ, I went on a much-anticipated photographer's tour of the upper canyon of Antelope Slot Canyon. I'd read raves about this guided tour on line and I wasn't disappointed. The focus of the tour was to take photos of the sunbeams in the slot canyon (five appear in this canyon at different times in the morning). This is a very popular place, and there were many tours going through the canyon at the same time as we were [see photo of just a small portion of them at the entrance, above left]. Our Navajo tour guide Milo was constantly working with the other tour guides to ensure that we were able to take photos without any people in them, and it wasn't easy.

One of the other photographers on the tour, shared with me a shot she took of some of the photographers! [right] Maybe you can tell I was loving it!

Milo is a high-energy person and an expert photographer. He showed me a couple things that made a big improvement in my pictures. This was a memorable tour and well worth my time. One of my best is below.
